Astral People celebrates a decade with two huge genre blending nights
From bringing the LA beat scene to Sydney, through to slamming club nights, steamy R&B and global smash hits with the biggest artists, the smallest innovators, but always the best in the biz, Astral People celebrate 10 years of bumpin’, grindin’, and lockout law defying with a huge outdoor blowout in the best backyard in Sydney with harbour views to boot – the Opera House Northern Broadwalk.
Rinsing through old myspace accounts, flip phones and scrunched up business cards, Astral People have delivered a decade-defining weekender featuring Melbourne jazz-funk visionaries Hiatus Kaiyote, twin hit machine Cosmo’s Midnight, the fearless Prince-meets-Nine Inch Nails Genesis Owusu with his Sydney supergroup Black Dog Band, quarantining dance polymaths DJ Seinfeld and Cashmere Cat, breezy local heroes Young Franco, Milan Ring, Mildlife and even a one-off reunion with our best mates from Melbourne – Andras & Oscar performing their house classics Embassy Café & Café Romantica. Plus sets from Munasib and Dameeeela for Astral’s all-star class of ‘21.
