Japan:London 2016 brings you the world's first ever live performance featuring Japanese noise musician Merzbow, Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi, Swedish saxophonist Mats Gustafsson (Fire! Orchestra, The Thing) and Sonic Youth great Thurston Moore.Whilst all hugely respected solo artists themselves, in 2015 the four came together to release the Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper album on Rare Noise Records to great acclaim; being voted in the top 20 Avant Albums of the year by Rolling Stone.Whilst Gustafsson and Merzbow had previously played together with Moore on the Sonic Youth album SYR8: Andre, Cuts of Guilt, Cuts Deeper was recorded on April 13, 2014 at a skatepark / recording studio in Wembley, London, England. Japan:London is delighted to be bringing the record back to live audiences in the city of it's creation.
