This is most certainly something special. Bonobo puts down his bass and takes to the decks for an exclusive DJ set at super stylish new venue Shapes in Hackney.
Anyone who knows anything about Bonobo’s DJ sets will know they are a complete musical journey and the benchmark that all Ninja Tune artists set. Spanning a multitude of genres, BPMs and moods, Simon Green’s selections are a reflection of his record collection and inspirations. If any proof were needed just check his seminal Solid Steel mix which celebrates its 10 year anniversary in 2015.
Two more red-hot talents perform DJ sets in support. Dan Shake is the first Englishman to sign to Moodyman’s Mahogani Music label drawing on influences ranging from Fela Kuti and J Dilla. Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section night in Peckham venue Canavans was so successful he started a label with the same name! Expect his set to be laced with international sounds and super secret squirrel 12” records.
