BAD FRIDAY is an annual Easter bank holiday music festival curated by fuzzy-indie-alternative-pop-zine SoundsXP.

YOUNGHUSBAND
https://www.facebook.com/YoungHusbandMusic/

Younghusband are a four-piece band based in London. Their psych-infused indie and krautrock grooves have been championed by BBC 6 Music and NME and they’re due to play Primavera and ATP Iceland amongst other festivals this year. Debut album ‘Dromes’ was produced by Deerhunter and released by Sonic Cathedral.

VENERA 4 (Paris)
http://venera4band.bandcamp.com/

Venera 4 are Parisian noise-pop, dream-gaze four piece. New album 'Eidôlon', will be released on March 2nd through Requiem Pour Un Twister.

THE SEE SEE
https://www.facebook.com/TheSeeSee

London-based psychedelic pop band The See See have been hand-picked for support tours with The Raconteurs and The Brian Jonestown Massacre and have a reputation for wonderfully exuberant live shows. Their debut album ‘Late Morning Light’ was released on the Great Pop Supplement label in a limited edition vinyl version. It sold out in a day, got re-pressed, and promptly sold out again.

THE DRINK
https://www.facebook.com/thedrinkthedrink/

Heavily championed by BBC 6Music, The Drink are Dearbhla Minogue, Daniel Fordham and David Stewart. They play odd guitar pop with a dark folk undertone and have been compared to Throwing Muses, Deerhoof and "The Mamas & The Papas on 4AD".

FIRESTATIONS
https://www.facebook.com/firestationsband

Firestations is a London five-piece that includes members of Astronauts, Dark Captain, Quickspace and Left With Pictures. At times they bring to mind the scuzzy indiepop hooks of Veronica Falls or the Wave Pictures meshed with the spacey folk of Pentangle or Tunng, and the streamlined precision of Stereolab.Their debut album ‘Never Closer’ was recorded to 8 track tape at Sound Savers (Mazes, Dignan Porch) and at the band’s home studio and was released on 24 November 2014.

THE NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE
https://www.facebook.com/theneardeathexperience

The Near Death Experience is a new London band who make a fierce Detroit Soul sound courtesy of players who learned their chops as teenagers in bands like Amy Winehouse, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Super Nashwan, The Golden Silvers, The Milk Teeth and Touch Candy. Supports with Those Darlins, a slot on the sounds of 2013 and their electric party shenanigans have brought them much dirty rock n roll love.
“Imagine a 22nd Century Clash fronted by Marvin Gaye and you’re only just getting close.” The Metro.

WITCHING WAVES
http://witchingwaves.tumblr.com/

Witching Waves have only recently birthed but have already soldered an effective, minimalist framework between female/male vocal interplay, binary drumming and a solo guitar conjuring the ghosts of underground 90s riot grrrl punk.
EXTRA LIVES
https://soundcloud.com/extra-lives/f-words-2

Tuneful, frequently fuzzed out, relentlessly bitter music in the post indie rock field. Most of us are previously of Smokers Die Younger. "The sound of no hands clapping" - Mumsnet.

TWIN DIALS

Twin Dials are Katherine from Smoke Fairies and Ben from Congregation - they’re so new and freshly hot off the press they don’t even have a website yet.
