Description
For nearly twenty years, the group CAKE has been winning over generations of fans with their witty lyrics, signature fusion of rock, funk, country, new wave pop, jazz, and mariachi, and refreshing lack of pretensions. With a steady stream of hits including “The Distance,” “Short Skirt/Long Jacket,” and “Let Me Go,” they’ve grown from a standout on the ‘90s geek rock scene into a strong, smart, and independent classic American band. They join the festival as part of a select tour including Bonnaroo. Opening the show is the legendary Queen of Rockabilly and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Wanda Jackson, whose two latest releases were produced by Jack White and Justin Townes Earle. This is a rare chance to see two American music icons in Ann Arbor
