Felix Mendelssohn String Quartet in F minor Op 80

The Talich Quartet is internationally recognised as one of Europe’s finest chamber ensembles with a current line-up that features cellist and Artistic Director of the RNCM’s International Chamber Music Studio, Petr Prause. The quartet has performed to great acclaim at several of our Chamber Music Festivals and its recordings of the complete string quartets of Felix Mendelssohn have been widely praised. Tonight’s programme includes the composer’s final quartet, dedicated to his late sister, alongside quartets by Mozart and Shostakovich.
