Description

On Feb 9th, krankbrother are teaming up with London's best record store, Phonica, to bring you a very special night of music. The event will take place in one of London's most versatile and exciting event spaces, and will feature incredibly high production values, synonymous with the values of both krankbrother & Phonica.

Headlining the party will be one of modern electronic music's pioneers - Four Tet. Kieran Hebden's sound incorporates endless influences and elements, including electronica, techno, jazz, folk music and of course house music. Over the years, he has had the privilege to remix for artists like Aphex Twin, Radiohead, Matthew Dear, The XX & Bloc Party. He is a regular booking at almost every notable music focused nightclub in the world. Each of his 6 artist albums have been released to almost unanimous critical acclaim.
Daphni (aka Caribou) will also join us. Dan Snaith began his career producing pastoral percussive assaults and kraut-leaning jams as the hugely popular Caribou, but by the time of his 2010 album, Swim, it was obvious that he was increasingly interested in dance music. Around the same time, a slight psychological split occurred, with Snaith adopting a new guise, Daphni, for remix work, edits and delirious tracks like "Ye Ye," his contribution to a split 12-inch with long-time ally Four Tet. Fast forward 2 years and he has now released his first full length artist album under his Daphni alias, to huge critical acclaim. His DJ appearances as Daphni are incredibly rare, and we are very fortunate to have him.

Appleblim came to light running and releasing on the now defunct Skull Disco with Shackleton. When he and Shackleton decided to fold Skull Disco on a high, Appleblim went about setting up Apple Pips - an outlet for some of the amazing music that he was getting passed and playing round the world.. The label debuted with Martyn's 'Suburbia' and has since released genre shattering tracks by Brackles, Instra:mental, Ramadanman, Al Tourettes, Greena, Jus Wan & Brendon Moeller.

Finally, Paul Woolford will join us. Through his work as DJ, Producer, Dancefloor experimentalist, Remixer, Collaborator and label owner, Paul Woolford has succeeded in bringing a rare level of artistry to the world of modern dance music and in doing so, made an enduring global impact. His name is synonymous with high-quality, which has seen him play at all the major dance floors across the world - Fabric, Panorama Bar, Warung, Womb and many more.

These major players will be joined on the night by Phonica's very own DJs, as well as krankbrothers.
