Description

Aidan Moffat – of Arab Strap and beyond – has been a friend of The Quietus since we founded the website in 2008. In the role of Uncle Agony Aidan he dished out solutions to the sexual and emotional troubles of our readers. We also took him UFO-hunting, but perhaps his most striking piece of writing was his close lyrical analysis of Adele’s Someone Like You, which, it’s fair to say, upset some of her more sensitive fans on the internet. We therefore felt it was high time that we actually got Aidan to do something musical for us. So, on 8 February, he’s travelling down from Glasgow for a one-off solo performance of songs and stories at Klub Gutenberg – the monthly night co-hosted by The Quietus and Rough Trade Books. Aidan's Adele duet remains to be confirmed.
