presents...

SPRING OFFENSIVE CELEBRATE THE LAUNCH OF THEIR NEW SINGLE A STUTTER AND A START WITH A GIG AT THE BULLINGDON FEATURING SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS.

SPRING OFFENSIVE
A STUTTER AND A START is the new self-released single from Oxford quintet Spring Offensive. NME’s Daily Download featured their previous release, calling it 'a twisting behemoth of a track'. Supported by the equally absorbing track The Well, more is set to follow from the band this year as they write material for a debut album. Recent achievements include securing a US re-release of their debut mini-album to Burning Building Recordings (The Lonely Forest), supporting The Go! Team on their Oxford tour date and playing Gill Mill’s Best Of MySpace London showcase. Radio support has come from Huw Stephens on R1 and across 6Music. (from Record of the Day).

GUNNING FOR TAMAR
“.…Spastic math on ice. Blessed with a drummer who knows exactly what solid rhythm means, they make the math thing look easy – because their version of it is. Chopping and breaking, but never daring to delve into any of the pretentiousness that seemed to spell the end for Meet Me In St Louis et al, they come out at the end with a glorious, danceable combination, free footed and entirely unbound by beard-stroking. Gunning For Tamar run through their entire collection seamlessly, a tight tight band caught at their tightest” – MUSICINOXFORD

LISTEN ON THEIR MYSPACE

ADAM BARNES (SOLO)
This debut release from Adam Barnes has a late autumnal feel. It’s clear and crisp like the onset of a cold November, and warm around the edges like it’s kitted out in a gold-coloured scarf. Ridiculous abuse of words aside, let me put that in a more utilitarian form: I like these songs. They’re good. They’re well written, well played and well recorded. - MusicInOxford
