Electronic pioneer Matthew Herbert (Bodily Functions and Around The House) comes to matter on Wednesday 9th June, when he’ll perform with his Big Band as part of the upcoming European tour in support of One Club – the second installment of Herbert’s One Trilogy, during which he will return to his dance roots.
Herbert and his band will be joined by Eska Mtungwazi and the Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble, who’ll provide vocals and choral backing for the performance. Eska is signed to Herbert’s renowned Accidental Records label, and is leader of ensemble, who performed previously to rave reviews with Herbert’s band last year at London’s Barbican. Support for the matter performance is to be announced soon.
One Tour will take place as soon as Matthew completes the recording of One Club - due for release in June 2010 and will include original material from the album alongside a retrospective journey.
