There are two artists under the name ZnO, unfortunately LAST FM cant differentiate between the two. One is zNo and the other is ZnO. Opposites attract lol!!!

One wears a bra and prefers capital letters hence ZnO.

The other one doesnt wear a bra and prefers lower case fonts, hence zNo.

Listen to both and enjoy.

1. ZnO is the creative machine behind Mark Ashworth, whose audio work crosses many boundaries and within lies no restrictions. There’s a band, many solo projects, sound design work, music video projects and label management.

ZnO are known to explore many different genres of music, including rock, jazz, pop, classical, industrial, techno, drum and bass, avante garde, noise, punk, hardcore and breakbeat.

Under Various guises Mark Ashworth has released around 50 pieces of work on vinyl or CD. Best known has been his dnb work as Blue who first released on the label Runninz in 1997. The label famously owned by Marvellous Cain. Then he went to Vinyl Distribution, a German label. A move which it is rumoured to have prompted Marvellous Cain to threaten to throw Blue out of the window. He also recorded on the labels Southern Sessions, Streetbeats and Noir amongst others and recorded with a number of artists including Donovan Smith. He also had a number of releases under the name Ultra Violet. As a sound designer he has worked under the name ZnO with Robert Morgan on the short films THE CAT WITH HANDS (which won a Welsh BAFTA), THE SEPARATION and MONSTERS.
