Yade Lauren is a Dutch singer and rapper. She began her music career by posting music covers on YouTube. After one of her songs went viral, she was approached by Yellow Claw in 2016. Together they released “Invitation” and “Love & War”, of which the latter became Yade her first Top 40-entry.
Mulitple collaborations and stand-alone releases followed. In 2019, she duetted with Snelle on “Ze Kent Mij”, which became another Top 40-hit. In 2020, she released her debut album Reflecties. It received critical acclaim upon release, with many critics citing the emotional “Papa” as the album’s stand-out. The album peaked at #12 on the Dutch Album Hot 100 and stayed on the charts for 146 weeks, becoming one of the most successful albums by a Dutch female solo artist of all time. She also collaborated with Kevin on “Als Ik Je Niet Zie” and Kris Kross Amsterdam on their cover of Antonie Kamerling’s “Mij Niet Eens Gezien”. Both songs entered the Top 40.
In 2021, Yade released “In De Nacht” as a stand-alone single. The song became a big streaming hit. It peaked atop the Spotify Top 50, keeping Adele’s “Easy on Me” off the top.
