Tadeusz Nalepa (September 26, 1943 – March 4, 2007) was a guitarist, composer, vocalist and writer who debuted in Poland in July 1963. By February 1968, Nalepa had started a new band Breakout (the name referred to breaking out of pop trends in music). Breakout constructed a new, remarkable sound, recording ten albums, including "Blues Breakout" (1971) which turned out a milestone LP for Polish blues.

After the band suspended their activity in December 1981, Nalepa continued his music career recording solo albums. He is known as the Godfather of Polish Blues and one of the most outstanding Polish musicians
