Biography
So Plush is a formulated female pop quartet created by super-producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, the first signing to his label Epic/Darkchild. This album is perfect fusion of R&B and pop that demonstrates the production talents of Jerkins to the fullest. The beats are varied, the hooks are catchy, and the vocals are perfectly harmonized. As you play through this set, you can't help but feel the energy created by the Darkchild team. There are also cameo performances from soul legend Keith Sweat and rapper Da Brat. The standout tracks would be up-tempo lead single "Things I've Heard Before" and the hip-hop-flavored opening track, "What You Do to Me." A very consistent debut that should appeal to R&B and pop lovers alike.
