Biography
Currently working as a freelance article writer and presently resides in Manila. A writer not by choice but by a self consumed desperation to reach out by matter of words by that what can be written, and somehow try to send a simple message that as the whole humanity of this planet has lost a clear perspective on the "real" state of how we live our lives and our purpose for doing so. Pidok's musical journey started out way back in the summer of 1985 when he joined a "Boy George" sing a like contest on "Student Canteen", one of the Philippines most premiere noon time show. He didn't get to win, but it was the start of his early musical career as a singer. After a year, his friends decided to form an indie band called "Visual Lies" and joined the "Rock Attack" band competition sponsored by "NU107". Pidok was also the former high school classmate of then future "Tropical Depression" bassist, Pex Holigores as they both lived in the same place and went to the same high school together. In the early 1990's, Pidok briefly became the vocalist of the "Magik' band which was headed by former "Abrakadabra" guitarist front man, Bobby Rodriguez.
