Neanderthal is the name for at least a couple of bands.
1) The short lived 90's powerviolence/hardcore band that in a later incarnation would be known as Man Is The Bastard. Check their Myspace page: www.myspace.com/officialneanderthal for more info and music.
2) Neanderthal is the instrumental rock side-project from My Ruin guitarist Mick Murphy Neanderthal's debut 'Start A Fire With Rock' was released on Undergroove in September '06. The latest release, and all releases are available to download for free, or for donation, at http://neanderthal.bandcamp.com/
3) Neaderthal was a death metal/grindcore band from New Zealand in the 90s
