Melanie Bender is a German vocalist and daughter of Steve Bender. She first gained chart attention in her native Germany as a member of the dance-pop group Mekado. Together with her group, they represented Germany at the Eurovision contest in 1994 and reached #3.
As a solo artist, she recorded the album "Melanie Bender" also called "You Just Want Sex".
