Mark Farner is an American singer, guitarist, songwriter and charismatic showman best known as the lead singer and shirtless guitarist for Grand Funk Railroad.
Born in Flint, MI on September 29, 1948 and influenced by Motown and the melting pot of music that Flint town was and still is today!
His later years as a Christian Rock solo artist showed us that yes indeed Christian music can truly Rock with guitar solos for Jesus!
After a few years of the Grand Funk reunion concert Mark has returned to his solo tour fronting the band "N'rG." His 2006 release "For The People" is proof that the heart of funk is current and still has the range and tenor of a seasoned Rock Icon. Available at: http://markfarner.com
