LIMELIGHT (Hangul: 라임라잇; Katakana: ライムライト; also stylised as LIMΞLIGHT) ,is one of the sub-units of the k-pop girl group MADEIN (Hangul: 메이딘; Katakana: メイディン) under 143 Entertainment.They made their debut on February 17, 2023 with the EP "Love & Happiness".
Group History:During July, social media accounts for 143 Entertainment's first girl group LIMELIGHT were created. On August 12, Gaeun, MiU and Suhye were introduced as members.
On August 16, they announced that they will star in the reality program "Lululala" that captures the process of their debut starting on August 18, and they would also release a pre-debut EP, kicking off their pre-debut activities on September 29.
On September 16, they announced that they will release their pre-debut EP "LIMELIGHT", before making their official debut on February 2023. On September 29, the group made their music show debut on Mnet M Countdown with "STARLIGHT".
On December 13, 2022, it was confirmed that the group would be making their official debut in February 2023. On January 15, 2023, the group revealed the first concept photos for their debut EP, "LOVE & HAPPINESS", set for release on February 17.
On January 27, 2023, they revealed their official lightstick design.
On July 26, it was announced that the group would be making their first comeback with the single album "MADELEINE", to be released on August 4.
On December 7, 2023, it was announced that the group would be making a comeback in the second week of January 2024.
On December 24, 2023, they released a teaser for their third EP "LAST DANCE", set for release on January 11, 2024. This album will be their last release as a trio as the group plan to reorganize and add more members.
On January 19, 2024, 143 Entertainment revealed a teaser clip for its new audition program, ID143 : My Favorite Debut, announcing a call for auditions from January 19 through February 18. Any female born before January 1, 2013 can audition, but they must not be signed on with an agency at the time of their audition, and they must be able to travel overseas without restrictions. The show was supposedly intended to cast future talents to join LIMELIGHT members to create the agency's new girl group. The show was supposed air sometime in July of 2024 but eventually fell through.
On July 15, 2024, all SNS accounts belonging to LIMELIGHT were rebranded as MADEIN, indicating that the group would start fresh under the group name MADEIN, with new members.

There are currently inactive artists named "Limelight" including:
1) An electronica group from St. Petersburg, renamed as Floor Seven in 2009. Beginning as an IDM studio project in 2004, the band soon diversified into synthpop, electro and rock.
2) A British NWOBHM band consisting of bassist and vocalist Mike Scrimshaw, guitarist Glenn Scrimshaw and drummer Pat Coleman; active in the 80s, they later reformed to play on the live circuit in 1997.
3) A collaboration between Pete Namlook and DJ Brainwave, who released a string of hard trance singles between 1992 and 1993 and a subsequent compilation on Namlook's label FAX +49-69/450464.
4) A J-pop group from Osaka consisting of 3 MCs (Yudai, Hyogo, Gutts), DJ Gon and trackmaker Koji. The right tag is ライムライト.
