Biography

Eurodance duo Le Click, consisting of singer Kayo Shekoni and rapper/singer Robert Haynes, was created in Germany by producer Frank Farian, who also created Milli Vanilli. The group reached its commercial peak with 1997 single “Call Me,” which climbed to #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #38 in the U.K., while reaching #4 on U.S. Dance and topping the Canadian dance chart. The duo had two other chart entries — follow-up single “Don’t Go,” which reached #62 on the Hot 100, and 1995 single “Tonight Is the Night,” featuring La Bouche vocalist Melanie Thornton, which peaked at #68 on the Hot 100. The 1997 album “Tonight Is the Night” charted at #95 in Germany. Shekoni was later the Swedish Eurovision 2002 entrant with the group Afro-dite.
