Biography

Texas and California recording artist /songwriter George Ducas is currently riding high with his debut single "Cryin' Time" from his upcoming 2024 album LONG WAY FROM HOME. Teaming with Platinum producer/guitar player Pete Anderson on his new album, Ducas approaches a distinct feeling of a new history being born. Maybe that's because Ducas is able to seamlessly connect all those elements with such a natural flair that it can be a bit overwhelming when the sound is flying at full-tilt.

Ducas broke into the national spotlight with two hit singles from his debut album on Capitol/Liberty Records: "Teardrops" and "Lipstick Promises," which reached No. 9 on the "Billboard" country singles chart. His second album, WHERE I STAND, met with further national and international critical approval. Ducas returned to the No. 1 spot on CMT with his 2019 single "Eastwood" off that year's YELLOW ROSE MOTEL album.

As a songwriter, Ducas has penned tracks for the Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, George Jones, Trisha Yearwood, Gary Allan and Radney Foster. A 2005 single he wrote for Sara Evans, "A Real Fine Place to Start" topped the "Billboard" charts at #1 for three straight weeks.
