In the shadows of the 20th century two blokes came together to start up a band. After a few line-up changes and gigs, the hardest band from Almere “Gandhi’s Revenge” was born and this is when the shit started to hit the fan…
Aggressive music, alcohol overload and not much at hand anyway, they decided to do a UK tour starting in Liverpool. Although none of the guys really remember what happened that week, apparently it was good enough to stick together and make more noise. Eventually this resulted in their first cd-release “Has The World Gone Insane Or Are We Just Completely Mad?” in 2006. Some people said it sucked, some loved it, the guys didn’t care and kept producing more and more mayhem on stages throughout the Netherlands. In 2008 Gandhi’s Revenge even played at BevrijdingsFestival with a 14-piece string orchestra.
After a few years, original guitarists Pib & Marijn were relieved from their duty by a new and still sober string section. Frontman Hamish also got a new partner in crime to spread his message and spit from stage called Tak! Some of the guys actually think this might get them to new level musically, we'll see. It's still five idiots having fun, getting drunk and stoned while playing some gigs. Nobody knows what will happen next and nobody really gives a fuck…
