Biography
Emcee/visual artist, Boxguts, originally from Detroit Michigan, grew up moving from city to city leaving his mark all along the east coast. In 2000 he and emcee/producer Burt Diesel formed Florida-based rap group BOXREB, later joined by emcees HaacWon and Red Ox; woking with producers such as Maliks and ShelShok, as well as DJ Caution, Ebbineeza, K. Clifton, and Garbs Infinite.Shortly after his move to Brooklyn NYC in 2004, Boxguts began building with legendary gonzo hip-hop label Johnny23. Boxguts released his highly esteemed debut solo album produced entirely by Will Taubin in 2009 titled "Mutilator" on Johnny23 Records.
