Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are the Golden Globe- and Oscar-winning composers of the soundtracks to David Fincher’s films “The Social Network”, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, and “Gone Girl”. Both have also been members of Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels.

The music is electronic in basis, but mostly organic sounding with lots of experiments and emphasis on sound fraying around the edges while focusing on the proper emotional tone for the various scenes.

Really, the Gone Girl OST is beyond all. Each track sets the tone of your own melancholy, doubts and daily reveries

@luizprigol/tibetandra13: I have played the albums to hell before seeing the film almost every time... And still regularly listening to Gone Girl soundtrack months later, would like to reiterate what I said a few months ago and say I think its one of Reznor's best pieces of work. (Though TSN & TGWTDT are gorgeous too!) Have only seen the film once, but excited to see it again this weekend!

I feel like Reznor was meant to make ambient music and never open his grizzled old mouth again.
