While frustrated he could not assemble his own band, Busby took note from fellow singer songwriters on Nashville's thriving indie music scene and began to work on his solo EP. Busby concentrated on recording techniques used by solo and Lo-Fi artist such as Iron & Wine and Elliott Smith. and drawing from the musical stylings of influences such as Nick Drake and Ben Harper.
