About this album

9 tracks (31:29)
This is the second collection of songs from the Suburban Pirate.
Produced in 2008 it shows the beginning of the character of ‘Reggie’, drawing inspiration from Reggie Perrin, the original middle class warrior and mixing it with the voice of protest…dub reggae. This collection has a mixture of musical stylings and hints at the future creation of Sly and Reggie…middle class warriors.

Ben Elton?What? A Tosser?

Most brits remember the night Portillo got booted out and we all had a party and stayed up late and the next day England won a test match in glorious sunshine. Ah heady days. This track is a demo recording of the first time we played it together in the living room and charts the disappointment in New Labour and old Ben.

Daily Mail Moment
Its an unpleasant feeling when the Daily Mail seeps into your way of thinking. All those kids with special needs, theres no way its all a disease. Too many fat birds eating too much cake, too many lazy estate mums on the make.

Middle Class Warrior
Goes around picking up the litter, hears sounds but doesnt know what they are, has a family but cant quite communicate. Stays up all night on Harriet Harmans rooftop…he needs help.

Yummy Mummy
There a lot of yummy mummys in East Dulwich. They usually hang out at the Blue Mountain Cafe on Northcross Road. They may be the wrong side of thirty or even the wrong side of forty but just as yummy.
