Easily the roots' best and my favorite album ever

This is my favorite Roots album. Much like Kanye's Graduation album in relation to his previous two releases before that (College Dropout & Late Registration), Game Theory is leaner than Illadelph Halflife and Things Fall Apart (as well as Phrenology if you wanna throw that in there), and is sonically and lyrically more concise/focused than any of those prior releases. It has no need for skits to get it's point across or sound cohesive, and they really find a sound of their own that would really be the foundation for their next three albums henceforth, while before this point in their catalog, their style shifted very dramatically from one release to the next.

The first Roots album I listened to. I would have never discovered the greatness of J Dilla if it wasn't for this album.

If Take It There and Here I Come sound like an album sagging in the middle - ya deaf hun

Starts off great then suddenly loses its momentum in the middle. It has its moments after that but unfortunately never regains the fire it began with.

At first I didn't like this one as much as their other stuff but it's now quickly becoming my favorite.

Gran ejemplo de un hip hop más instrumental, con el flow que sale desde los instrumentos y una propuesta diferente, interesante, que no deja de ser urbana pero tiene su toque groove and jazzie en muchos pasajes.
