Symbis: Symbis began as a project between Trochlear founder Jared Newby and his friend John Perez. With Newby setting the beat, and Perez working on acid lines, they released the dual-single “Egypse/Teknology.” Despite friction between the two, they worked together on three more tracks in the effort to create a full album. After the album’s release, their falling out was complete, and all five of the tracks involving Perez were removed from later releases. Symbis remains a popular Trochlear entity due to the catchy, dance-club edge to each selection.
The only surviving release is the “Everywhere A.M.” album.
