Cover of Beginnings

From Beginnings and 1 other release

An interlude period when all of the members of the Yes band broke away to establish their personal materials. As you listen to Steve on this album you can pick up on rifts to become parts of later yes collaborations. Steve and Jon were the lyricists and note writers for Tales, so anything goes on this solo tract by Steve, including pedal steel and strings.

The vocals are absolutely dreadful...I can't imagine being in the studio and Steve saying "yeah that's great...let's go with that"...he couldn't call in a favor or 2 and get a proper vocalist? Bad choice on Steve's part...

Listening to Yes for years innoculated me against Steve's singing voice. So instead my ears pick out this song's guitar and changes of pace.

Steve Howe is truly awesome, however this song makes me cringe...

Yeah, not sure if it was a good idea for Steve to sing.
