“I Wish” is a hip-hop song by rapper Skee-Lo released in 1995 as the first single from his debut album of the same name. The track peaked at #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and at #15 on the UK Singles Chart

The songs samples the song “Spinnin’” by Bernard Wright.

The song was nominated for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 1997 Grammy Awards, but lost to Coolio for his song “Gangsta’s Paradise.” Blender listed “I Wish” as number 359 on its list of “Greatest Songs Since You Were Born.”
