Shannon Lucas is a musician form Staunton,VA (America), who was born in 1984.
He played the drums from 1998 to 2006 for All That Remains, a metalcore band, and currently is Black Dahlia Murders drummer.
Lucas started out at the age of 14 covering Slayer songs on guitar but later joined percussion classes in High school due to the ease of getting an “A”.Then he played for a local grindcore act called WarTorn.
Later he moved to Richmond and became a member of the Gwar side project Mensrea.After opening up for GWAR he met All That Remains with whom he kept close contact. Eventually the band kicked out their drummer and called Shannon Lucas; he moved to Massachusetts and joined All That Remains, replacing drummer Michael Bartlett. Lucas appeared in the video “The Air That I Breathe”, and soon after, performed with All That Remains at Ozzfest 2006.On March 21, 2007, Shannon Lucas joined the melodic death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder, and has since played on their September 2007 release, Nocturnal, and current release Deflorate.
