“Gypsy” is a track from Shakira’s third English-language studio album “She Wolf”. It was co-written with British singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost. “Gypsy” was the third single released from She Wolf in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Shakira told The Daily Star : “(The song represents my) way of living and seeing life. I’ve been on the road since I was very young, so that’s where the gypsy metaphor comes from.” (Source Gypsy Songfacts)
Shakira shot the video for the single in Barcelona in early February, 2010. The video features Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal as Shakira’s love interest. The single will be accompanied by a spanish language version, “Gitana.”
