Sergiy Dvornichenko began his music studies at the age of five, under the tutelage of his father, Viktor Dvornichenko at the Kharkov School of Music in Ukraine. He moved to the United States in order to pursue his clarinet education at the Interlochen Arts Academy, where he began his studies with Richard Hawkins. He continued working with Mr. Hawkins at the Oberlin Conservatory, where he received a B.M. in 2006.
