The band originated in 2008 after changing the name from Destroy Tokyo, an experimental noise quartet consisting of Christopher Danko, Dylan Reznick, Preetom Choudhury and James Laurence. James Laurence parted ways with the group just before the name change and Guy Culver joined in early 2008. Month's later Preetom Choudhury parted ways and Nicholas Cowman, of Sacramento's Brother, joined to play lead drums. Dylan Reznick parted ways with the group in January of 2010.
