North South Divide is a musical collaboration between two UK doctors. David Longworth, a GP in Malton, North Yorkshire, and Dwayne Conway, an interventional cardiologist currently based in Newcastle upon Tyne. The name ‘North South Divide’ originates from a line in the song ‘Man From The North’ from their debut CD, Another Fine Day. The concept of a North South Divide is further explored in 2 songs from the eponymous second CD, ‘Under the Same Sun’ and ‘When in Rome’.
Since meeting in 1998, North South Divide have focussed on writing and recording - only a handful of gigs have been played.

Most obvious influences include Paul Simon, Francis Dunnery and other acoustic songwriters, but David and Dwayne have absorbed a varied mix of influences, from the Bhundu Boys to Genesis.
