Lung UPC formed in 1992 at La Trobe University Melbourne where all members were students of some description. Founding members were Simon Knight, Julian Culpan, Damon Fuhrer, Daniel Bowran and Edward Bruce Gray. The band hit the Melbourne live scene hard and was playing live within a month of forming. Bringing together a variety of influences musical and conceptually the band played experimental, improvised industrial sound chaos using found objects - metal, sticks, old amps, synths and drum machines.
