“Wassup” describes Logic and Big Sean rising above others in the music industry. They’ve reached points where they can make demands and decisions for themselves, and people have to listen. This collaboration was teased in a HardKnock TV interview that Big Sean actually crashed. It was proven to be legitimate the night before this project released, as Shazams of snippets revealed Big Sean and the track title. Ironically, in the interview, Logic discusses how the first time he met Big Sean, “Mercy” was playing on the radio of the car Sean arrived in. This song uses the same sample that “Mercy” did.
