Biography

There are two artists which use this name:

1) Knife Party is the duo founded by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, former members of Australian band Pendulum.

They’ve remixed artists such as Swedish House Mafia, Nero, Labrinth and Porter Robinson.

Knife Party has released three EPs so far: 100% No Modern Talking, which was released free on various sites, the more recent Rage Valley EP (May 28 on Beatport and June 4 on iTunes and elsewhere). Tracks from the Rage Valley EP were leaked in poor quality long before release date and the entire studio quality EP leaked some days before release. Knife Party commented on the leak, saying they “don’t care”, and the latest Haunted House EP (May 6 everywhere).
They have also collaborated with Swedish House Mafia on their single, Antidote.

2) Knife Party are a punk rock band from Moncton, New Brunswick, CA. They have one self titled EP.

Little Danny Whore Moan, ”The Belgian Berzerker” Johnny Marnix, Killington Stabb, Davey Romance and Jedi Eric form Knife Party.

Rising from the ashes of two other bands, Knife Party bring a little class to the Blade Game, fusing straightforward, minimalist Ramones song-writing etiquette with garage rock of the 60’s to achieve their sound, deeming it “Carhole Punk Rock”.

i, for one, love both pendulum and knife party for what they are, and respect that rob and gareth are artists who are free to go in whatever direction with their music that they like (◡‿◡✿)

I am surprised that they decided to abandon the world's most well-known and one of the most successful DnB projects, and started producind some shitty brostep instead... as if we don't have enough of that... Really wish they would have continued with Pendulum instead... TL;DR Knife Party - какашка, Pendulum форевер [2]

I'm afraid that Shajirr is right. The dupstep genre, at least as interpreted by Knife Party, kills creativity. The sound that so defined Pendulum is all but gone and we're left with generic (bro)dupstep.

And I don't see Pendulum in what drum and bass is today anyway. Shitty drums with generic female vocalists are the norm and it's only logical that Rob and Gareth don't wanna move in that direction.

What's with the brostep comments? Haunted House is some banging electro house and Rob himself has said on twitter that Knife Party will primarily focus on that.

It's amazing how much better they are than Pendulum.
