Biography
Charles Darwin was credited for the phrase survival of the fittest. However, it was actually his assistant, Herbert Spencer, who coined the phrase. “I believe that survival and success are attached to strength. However, there are times when the strong get overlooked. Many people feel that I’ve been overlooked for years.” states Kel Spencer. “I try to make whatever I do as Hot as possible and we measure heat in Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin but Kelvin gets over looked just as Herbert Spencer does but not for too much longer.
Kelvin Spencer… Kel Spencer.” Not only is Kel Spencer often called the best rapper you’ve never heard of he has ghostwritten for artists such as Nick Cannon, MC Lyte, Wyclef Jean, Teddy Riley and Will Smith co-writing songs like the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD WINNING “Switch.” While currently building his brand and pushing his latest single, Hip Hop/House fusion Eye On You, Kel is also active in his community preparing to launch his Pens of Power after school literacy program while serving as a culture blogger for BET/Centric TV Online. While occasionally writing commercial jingles and theme Songs, it’s safe to call this A Balancing Act. Kel Spencer (often called The Warrior Poet) set aside a promising future in football while attending Morgan State University declaring that, “GOD Blessed us all with many gifts and I just think I can help a greater cause by being present in mainstream rather than the field.”
