Biography

Half Acre Day is an amalgam of space and time. The band has been experimenting with an alchemy of sound and words. It’s very scientific, involving things like algorithms and equations and the like. There are currently only five people on the planet who fully understand its meaning, but in the future it will provide the energy necessary to maintain the amenities we enjoy today, such as toast.

Half Acre Day play infectious indie-pop. They make songs that are vivid, catchy, creepy, weird, wonderful, horrible, and beautiful.

Thanks for the post, Ian. We are aware of the fact. It's a problem for the whole of the music biz, ain't it? Of course, if you're that concerned, nothing is stopping you from legitimately buying the music... just sayin'. Still, we appreciate you listening and the heads up. There's no doubt a way to protect everything better (though nothing will do it completely) but the logic here was why go through the headaches just to cock-block a bunch of people used to getting it for free? If someone like yourself wants to steal it that badly, have at it. At least you're hearing it, which is our main goal. We're not in this for chicks and dough. But maybe that was a mistake. Guess we should think about looking for a different streaming method. Any ideas? Incidentally, it doesn't help us much to publicly call us out on our vulnerabilities in our lastfm shoutbox (if indeed that was your intent). But that's cool. I know you'll do the right thing if you haven't already. Enjoy the tunes.
