Fanger & Siebert was the alias of a short-lived venture by electro producers/composers Thomas Fanger (later involved in Mind-Flux and the similarly-named Fanger & Schönwälder) and Jan Siebert (now performing as Jan Driver) - whose previous collaborations include Tiracon, Synoptic Music Plant and Amorph - whose sole release is their eponymous 1995 release on the Fax +49-69/450464 label. The music is largely abstract, with hints of industrial - notably, the unorthodox percussive clanging which ricochets throughout several of the tracks - and is often densely layered, with a pallette of "weird sound effects" that were the hallmarks of post-trance, mid-90's Fax records. The beats are pure electro thudding - intricate and deep - and the pads and waves - typically abrasive saws - are ominous and dour; as such, many tracks are devoid of any melodic leads.
