Biography

Dance 2 Trance is the name used by Rolf Ellmer (one half of famous electronic music duo Jam & Spoon) and Dag Lerner also known as Dj Dag. They have also released tracks that became classics of genre under aliases Peyote and The Odd Company.

Dance 2 Trance’s most famous singles include “We Came in Peace”, “Hello San Francisco”, “Take A Free Fall”, and “P.ower Of A.merican N.atives”.

    We Came In Peace, Where Is Dag?, Hello San Francisco, P.ower Of A.merican N.atives and offcourse the Peyote project with I Will Fight No More and Happy Birthday (Alcatraz) belongs to the best trance ever. And it's a shame to notice that in the almost 20 years following nothing even close has ever been released. This was and is trance in the purest form. The ultimate trip to paradise, but has become a legacy which i'm afraid will never return in the history of mankind. I can only be thankfull to have experienced the music before it died out and is mocked by every release today that's called "trance". We need a new Dance 2 Trance or paradise is doomed!

    These guys invented Trance, and you call them "one hit wonder" What about "We Came in Peace" and Hello San Francisco? They were one of the first groups to stablish the basic essence of earlier Trance music.
