During a trip to India in summer of 2007, Arjuna Sayyed (aka DJ Smokestack) spent three days in Kolkata digging through thousands of moldy and forgotten records in a dark, vermin-infested backroom. The fruits of his labor are much more pleasant than the work itself, as Sayyed has assembled an upbeat Bollywood breaks blockbuster of a mix in Shitala (ironically, the name of a Hindu deity who hates dirt). The focus is on soundtrack disco and funk tracks of 70s and 80s Bollywood with "an emphasis on Indian breaks… compiled with the dancefloor in mind."
