Biography

San Francisco, United States (2009 – present)

Botanist is a one-man eco-terrorist black metal project featuring avant-garde instrumentation that utilizes only vocals, drums, and hammered dulcimer. The band is based out of San Francisco, CA and was founded in 2009. In 2011 Botanist released its debut album, a 2xCD on tUMULt entitled “I: The Suicide Tree / II: A Rose From the Dead.” The followup, “III: Doom in Bloom / Allies”, was released in 2012, consisting of a disc of original material and a disc of material by friends of the band composed around the album’s drum tracks.
