Don't think there would many arguments... but there are SO MANY genres and Incredible drummers in each respective one... Give Sly Dunbar or Neil Peart a good listen...

I would go as far as saying Billy Cobham is the greatest living drummer. Being able to keep up with the likes of John McLaughlin and Miles Davis puts you in an entirely different class. I would compare him to Eleventh House's Alphonze Mouzon which is another double-set drummer in his own class.

Possibly my favorite drummer (along with Rashied Ali). He claimed to experience astral projections while performing onstage with Mahavishnu, that should tell you how much of a beast this guy is. Definitely the best drummer in fusion.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8tHWCy6QrU#t=107 Billy on returning to playing Tama. Not a drummer by any means, but this is cool considering he was one of the first big names to endorse them.

"Spectrum" (1973): Jazz-fusion con toques funk, rock, blues, ciertos matices soul, velocidad vertiginosa, humor, inteligencia, virtuosismo, con Tommy Bolin tocando una guitarra sintetizada, piano eléctrico y moog de Jan Hammer, vientos, toques prog de flauta, solos de batería inimitables... Disco imprescindible.
