Beat The Dutch was formed in 1979 by Richard Knutson, Mark Foley, Tony Kaye and Matt Jacobs. Active in the Minneapolis underground until 1982 when they disbanded. This period produced 2 live recordings, 2 studio demos and a set of sound experiments part of which can be heard on EPs Blackberries, Don't Send Me and Clubhouse 1982 Starting in 1988 Beat The Dutch reformed just for recording as opportunity arose.
