She started her musical career singing at vocal group Brasileirão, under orientation of musical director Marcos Leite. She’s also been the crooner of Original Jazz Combo and toured with the band for four years. At that point, Anna won the Saul Trumpet Award for Best Pop Singer in Paraná and released her first solo album – Viva! At 2004, Anna won a Scholarship from Berklee College of Music. She went to Boston and studied with Bob Stollof and Gabrielle Goodman.
Back to Brazil, Anna co-conceived The Jazz Heroes Project, with friends Celio Barros, Marcel Nadal e Ronaldo Palleze. They recorded an album (still to be released) and had lots of fun. Her second solo album, Frescura (2005) reveals these many paths and point others to follow. Her own songs show influences such as jazz, samba-canção and samba, and her lyrics translate her very own approach to quotidian life. Producer/Critic Nelson Motta included some of Anna’s songs in his radio-show Sintonia Fina. At the web radio, UOL That Jazz producer Rodrigo Barradas broadcasted a whole radio show about her.
