Biography

American Idol, formerly known as American Idol: The Search for a Superstar, is an American television show. It is part of the Idol series, originated as the UK show Pop Idol, a singing talent contest to determine the best “undiscovered” young singer in the country. In recent years it has become one of the most highly publicized music competitions in the world.

American Idol is shown on the Fox Network in the United States which is part of News Corporation. It is created by Simon Fuller (manager of the Spice Girls and S Club 7) and developed by Simon Jones of Thames Television. The directors are Bruce Gowers (director of Queen’s original “Bohemian Rhapsody” video), Nigel and Simon Lythgoe (directors of Survivor) and Ken Warwick (Gladiators and Grudge Match).

American Idol is produced by Fremantle North America which is owned by German Bertelsmann. Each contestant may sign a contract with one of Bertelsmann’s many music labels because Bertelsmann owns half of Sony BMG. American Idol is managed by 19 Entertainment which is owned by the international joint venture CKX, Inc.

    "American Idol" is just Fabricated kiddidie crap 15 mins of fame 1 cd and the label drops you garbage. Plus the dopes that are judges. A british stuck up bag of wind.Who think hes some kind talent expert.Then you have a washed up 80's star who loves younger boys. Whos either drunk or high on prescription drugs.And of course you have a sessions bass player (He plays ok bass.)Who thinks he knows a great voice when he sees one.LOL Dude you don't even sing yourself ?LOL And you were in Journey for 2 years(Played on the cd "Raised on Radio). So, there you have masive crowd of bubble & bimbos who think there going to hit the big time. A studio audience full of MILF & Big Shot dads who want there little johnny or jenny to hit pay dirt. Its just one big hot air ballon full of garbage. LMA
