Across the Sun

On record, ACROSS THE SUN’s undeniable talent is immediately obvious, but it’s their audacious live show that is perhaps their most prominent attribute. Maintaining a steady touring schedule has allowed the band to quickly build and maintain a sizable fan base. Thriving on the energy of the crowd, ATS plays every show like it’s the most important they’ve ever played. Notes lead vocalist Brandon Davis, “We love going crazy onstage, our fans play a huge part in that. Getting them to participate in our show, sing along, and make them part of the action is essential. We have to let them know that they are part of us, of what we do, and we would be nothing without them. They can feel that and it makes our live show so much better in every way.”
A few short years later, the band has released two highly acclaimed EP’s, garnered both local and national media attention, received radio play in one of the most skeptical markets and shared the stage with several national acts. Following their 2010 Authentik Artists release Pestilence and Rapture, ATS sparked the interest of several major labels, eventually graduating from Authentik Artists to Metal Blade Records in 2010.

Across The Sun has had the honor of sharing the stage with: As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, Haste The Day, The Acacia Strain, Winds Of Plague, Parkway Drive, Darkest Hour, Born Of Osiris, After The Burial, Misery Signals, I See Stars, For The Fallen Dreams, 36 Crazyfists, Sea of Treachery, Abigail Williams, The Classic Crime, Gwen Stacy, Arsis, Stick To Your Guns, Himsa, Oblige, Sinai Beach, The Absence, A Life once Lost, Dead To Fall, and many more…….

I recently discovered his band. The track, 'Belay The Judgement' really captivated me. What an awesome, under-rated band!

v They premiered a new singer? I was waiting to hear what they sound like now, was worried after hearing that they lost their vocalist/keyboardist...

блин, такое разве бывает?..трек за треком слушаю и качаю сразу, всё нравится, без исключения, хотя я достаточно привередливый в такого рода группах, то голос бывает не тот, то не так мелодично, а тут всё в тему!

Stoked up for the new material/album. They're in the writing process apparently. Solid Portland band and they put on real good shows \m/

Also these guys are less metalcore and more progressive metal. The structure is crazy intricate with a lot of technical instrumentation.

Across The Sun is one of 250 bands in Thrash Magazine's "March Metal Madness" competition. Only 64 bands will make it to the next round, so be sure to vote for them (and your favorites) to ensure they get there:
