BEAST (비스트, stylized as B2ST) is a boy band from South Korea that consists of six members, under Cube Entertainment. The group was originally known as B2ST, an acronym for Boys to Search for Top. However, their name was changed to BEAST (Boys of the East Standing Tall) few days before debut. They released their first mini-album Beast Is The B2ST on October 14, 2009.
Pre debut

There were many news articles on the group before its debut, as many of them had previous experience in the entertainment industry.[5][6] On October 2, their documentary, MTV B2ST was broadcasted on the MTV Chuseok Special to showcase their abilities before their official debut.[7]

2009: Debut
In late 2009 news articles started to surface online about Cube Entertainment’s new group, B2ST (pronounced “Beast”) as explained by member, Dong Woon, in episode 8 of their MTV documentary MTV B2ST which showcased their journey leading up to their debut. On October 14, the group’s first mini-album, Beast Is the B2ST, was released selling over 20,000 copies to date. A company representative for BEAST revealed that they have sold all the albums they made at first,and they are tentatively planning to produce 5,000 more and also considering reissuing AJ’s album due to the strong demands. On October 16, they made their live debut on KBS Music Bank with their promotional single, “Bad Girl”. The group became popular after debuting, following various commercial calls from companies around Asia.

    B2ST isn't their official name anymore. It's BEAST, but since there are other bands with that same name, I'd rather use the hangul tag for beast.

    @feyana most fans do know them as B2ST, we should keep them as B2ST on last.fm too otherwise you'll end up listening to the Canadian version of BEAST. They're ok, but they screw up the k-pop radio.

    @jk_blaqcat CUBE has officially said B2ST was not correct (cf. CubeUnited facebook, 120829): Fun Fact #1: Do you know the difference between BEAST and B2ST. Many believe that B2ST is the name of the group, however, that is incorrect. The official name of the group is BEAST (all caps) and the official logo of BEAST is B2ST! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

    Well they also officially changed it to "BEAST" before debuting, and there's already a bunch of BEASTs out there. Until they figure out a way to separate artists with the same name, last.fm will always be cluttered. Neither tag is wrong; just let people tag how they like.

    @Welniuke The difference is that repeated artists make last.fm disgustingly cluttered. Yes of course "비스트" is right too but CUBE had tagged it officially as "B2ST" so we should respect their decision and follow it.

    Also - what's the difference? I suggest You let people tag with which tag they want. They plays aren't a competition here and if You really want to get the total plays then just add them all together. But the artists don't get anything by how many plays they get here so there's no point in correcting what tag is wrong or right. Keep Your tag's the way YOU want them to be and let others have them the way THEY want them to be. Please. I'm(maybe we're) not asking for much, so just please leave us with the tag we like and prefer. You don't make our life decisions for us, we don't for You. Especially since this isn't something extremely important. Really I'm begging You here, leave this tag alone. It doesn't do or change much, so just please.

    PEOPLE GO WATCH SOME SHOWS GOD DAMMIT. Most of the groups You tag in romanized tag's are incorrect(unless they do Japanese stuff). If You watch shows You'll actually see that most of the groups are written in hangul(except for Miss A, SHINee and maybe a few more I don't remember) So stop using the incorrect tags. Also almost on all of the CD's they use the English names, but the correct tags are still hangul. For example: CHI CHI has it written on English on their singles, but their correct tag is in hangul because that's what they use on every show.
